Wishing for Simple Toys

Thanks to my friend and BridesmaidAid.com co-founder E. (mom to M. and 1 on the way) for introducing me to Wishing Tree Toys, a site that sells simple yet whimsical wooden toys that children (and their environmentally conscious parents) will enjoy. The toys are made from 100% natural, chemical-free basswood and are designed by Japanese sculptor Mitsuo Shimizu. They are sophisticated but child-friendly, with round edges and smooth finishes. The adorable lion shown here ($10) is unfortunately sold out at the moment, but there are several other fun choices including Tammy the tortoise, a sweet Farmhouse, or a lively ocean.
