Forever 21 - sequins

Sequins are everywhere. They were popular last year, too, so it's nice to be able to wear some things a 2nd season. If you're currently in the market for sequins (I always seem to be), I highly recommend trying Forever 21. Their target market is the teenage bracket, but I have no shame shopping there. I've never had a garment fail me. Or if it did, I quickly forgot about it because I didn't pay a high price. Oh, I had one necklace break, but that was after wearing it like 10x. The cost/wear is always mere dollars in my experience. If you go to the store, all of the sequin items should be merchandised together. That will make shopping easier. When you're there and pick up that little sequin top that's laying flat on the shelf, just put it back because those are hot pants. You probably don't need them.

Sequin racerback tank - Pretty color. The sequins look a bit large. They're like medium sized in the pic, but look larger. Not sure I like the look as it may make it more theatrical and not just shimmery.

Jazzy sequin top - I bought this a couple weeks ago and love it. I decided to pass on the JC draped sequin top. I saw it this past weekend on an SA in the daytime and even in a retail environment the sequins were too much. It might have had something to do w/her coloring & way she styled the top, but it just seemed too sparkly & bright. The F21 tank doesn't come in the beautiful options at JC, but it looked great under the dream draped-v sweater in black and just fine to wear the two in the daytime. I love this model's hair.

Jewel trim sequin top - Nice color. Personally, I don't like the sequins items that have the S pattern like this.

Sequin fashion top - Shoulder pads and an elastic hem. Good luck w/that.

Sea of sequins top - It's looking like a sequin sweatshirt to me. And such a great price. Much better than the higher end ones. I've worn my NY & Co sequin sweatshirt quite a bit. Much more than I ever thought I would. Even with a low cost/wear I still wouldn't pay $135 for a sequin sweatshirt.

Faith 21 spangle cap sleeve top - Super cute. She looks great.

Faith21 sequin panel top - The center part looks sheer, but the top is cute regardless. Sometimes you just gotta be sexy. Just keep it klassy.

Sequin bow knit top - I've seen this in person and it's not bad. Not saying it's good either. It's a knock off, obvi. They've done better knockoffs, but if those of you very familiar w/F21 clothing quality, you can rock this w/a cardi. Just have lowered expectaaaatiiiooons.

Sequin A-line skirt - 17" in length, which is on the longer side for F21. *lol* I don't like the wider hem, but it's a nice way to finish the skirt and not have it end in sequins.

Sequined loose fit top - Looks cute. I have a longer, white sequin top from F21 that is almost identical to this. You just can't beat their prices for trend. It's a longer cut than this, though, and maybe a tad boxier. This one has the sequins in a scallop pattern, which is interesting, but you just don't know until you see it in person.

Sleeveless sequin dress - "A sleeveless sequin dress with blouson top and an elasticated waist. Features an attached chiffon racerback tank with lace trim around neck." - I don't like the idea of the tank attachment, but overall the dress looks cute. Given my knowledge of F21, I have an idea of how it would look & feel in person and my guess is it could be worn at least twice. At least. I would consider trying to cut out the interior part and then wear another slip inside, but that could be too much trouble. It doesn't specify that the dress is lined, so you might need a slip anyway.

I'll have more for you another time, Kelsey :-)
