Indie Spotlight: Kcoline

I so heart indie designers. They are the modern day equivalent of vintage. They make bring something unique and wonderful to the fashion table. When you buy indie, you know that you are getting something that is handmade and very special. That is why I dedicate Thursdays to indie. So once again, I am blown away by a designer. Enter Kcoline. I clicked on the clothing section on Etsy and bam! Here were some of the most beautiful, fashion-forward, sexy dresses and skirts out there. I must confess that the first dress is my absolute fav. There are very few things better than a beautiful handcrafted leather bag. The plush feel of the leather. It can be supple almost to the point of being erotic. So when I saw a bag by Neiko Designs as an Etsy spotlight, I had to see more. I want every bag but my purse strings are too short. But in my dreams, I would own all of these lovelies. Indie Spotlight: Wonky Rocket

I really have a fondness for t-shirts. Especially t-shirts with something unusual but clever on the front or has a cool saying splashed across it. So I heart Wonky Rocket for their fabulous unique style called "the world of beasties." They have put their Wonky style all over these tees. My favorite is the Wonky Dog. Indie Spotlight: Caprice Designs

Besides being a shoe addict, I am also a jewelry freak. I love jewelry. One piece of jewelry can take a plain white t-shirt and a pair of jeans to the next level. So I am lovin' these pieces by Caprice Designs. The chunky jewelry always gets my attention because I believe so strongly in statement jewelry. Not to mention that it is all handmade. Somewhere in Chengdu, China, the designer for Trees and Clouds is working hard to create simplistic beauty that can be worn anywhere and everywhere. With a background in fashion design, the design concept is shaped by Chinese traditional philosophy such as peace, Zen, Buddhism in a modern, simple, beautiful and elegant way. Seeking to be a fashion innovator, Trees and Clouds is a shop to which you must pay attention. There's a promise of new items in a week but for now, here are the pieces that will never go out of style. The gray dress is my absolute fav.

In our neverending effort to showcase indie designers, we are spotlighting indie jewelry designer, Sparkling Lotus Design. These amazing pieces are created with semi-precious stones, shells, wood, glass, crystal, and some vintage materials in an effort to explore the relationships between texture and color. It is evident that these pieces pull from nature and various cultures to give each piece a very unique look. I loved every piece in this collection.
