Old Navy - jackets & a top

Hello...a few more ON reviews...

Surplus Jacket (809585, spicy oak) - Size M - I would order a PM if getting this. The color is similar to the brigadier utility jacket, so I wanted to see it in-person. Turns out it's not for the color scheme I thinking of this spring. Orange is one of my colors and this is more like clay than orange. Also, I already have a green jacket just like this from ON. I like it, so thumb up on the style. The color would be great for fall.

Rainboots: SJP Bitten (Similar here)

Canvas Peacoat (809614, bright coral) - Size M - Again, would order PM in this. I like the bright coral, but it still looks like fall to me. This color sold out online. Grey & chocolate brown still available. ON jackets have low price points, so set your expectations accordingly. I would be into a fun, bright color from ON or even the chocolate brown or grey since they're harder to come by. If I were getting tan or black, I might go up in price and choose another retailer.

Twill Button-Front Trench Coat (809610, sandlot) - Size S - This color sold out online. It shows the wrinkles quite a bit, but that would be solved a bit by being in the right size. Again, would order PM for me. A trench is a must. It's such an easy jacket that goes with many things. Even if it's technically not waterproof, it can be nice when you're expecting light rain. You're prepared for inclement weather and look nice no matter what happens. Of course there are all price points for trenches. I think the ON version can work well in black as a dressy jacket you may not wear often or if don't need a heavy jacket for your climate. We usually don't want to spend a ton on something we're only going to wear a few times/year.

Shoes (8): Sam Edelman Venice (Similar here, here and here)

Denim Jacket - Cute jacket. It's $25 right now online. I really like this price because I love denim jackets, but will only wear them sporadically. Online prices don't nesc match in-store prices, fyi. Comes in regular, tall & petite. Great over a maxi dress. Or with a tank, slim cargos and wedges.

Printed Button-Down Shirt (yellow gingham, 809515) - Size M - The M tend to fit better in the chest. If ordering this, I'd probably compare the S, M & PM to be sure for myself. I often don't like the length of P tops and stick w/regular sizes. ON has been running a bit big in some styles, too, so who knows what the petites are cut like in this.

Lightweight Roll-Up Shirt - I saw this in-person, but didn't try it on. Reminds me of JC's vintage cotton mixed lawn shirt.

Old Navy - dressess

Old Navy usually delivers good items for spring/summer. Check out some cute dresses.

Gauze Crochet-Trim Dress (809575, dumpling) - Size M - I grabbed M in all the dresses. Some S weren't available on the rack. Also, sometimes these types of dresses have an inner liner that trips me up. I wanted to be sure I was able to get in and out of each one quickly.

Necklace: Macy's very old (Similar vibe here, here and here)

Crochet-Trim Ruffled Dress (809545, chinchilla)- Size M - I like the color. Maybe not for me. The color is dusty, but an interesting hue. It's nice if you prefer a floaty dress in a darker color. It may also come in white.

Eyelet Tie-Belt Dress (809597, bright white) - Size M -100% cotton. I really liked the vibe on this one and the detail at the sleeve and hem. It just kind of hung there, though. I'm not sure going to a S would fix things.

I don't think the dress has a tie, but in case you were wondering how it looked more fitted.

Shiffli Shift Dress (809596, bright white) - Size M - I like the eyelet pattern. I didn't care for the fit of the dress so much, though.

A couple more from the site...

Ruffled Sundress - So pretty & sweet.

Jersey Boat-Neck Dress - Apparently will work as a dress on those 5'6" or so under. A tunic if you're taller, according to online reviews.

Thanks for visiting...
