National Stationery Show: Part One

Where to begin? I have so many great things to show you from the National Stationery Show here in NYC that I'm going to dive right in and show you exactly what I saw, in order of appearance:

1) This line of stationery and party supplies is a recent addition to Lilly Pulitzer. Perfect for ladies who lunch.

Here's a close-up:

I like the fabric photo frames a lot, too. Cute summer hostess gift.

2) Year after year, Delphine Press is one of my favorite letterpress shops. I had a lovely time chatting with founder & designer Erika Firm. Her cards are always chic and elegant. And her birthday is today- Happy Birthday, Erika!

These are from Delphine Press's new "baby animals" collection:

I especially like these new monogrammed notecards with rounded corners. The repeat monogram along the bottom is a unique touch, as are the coordinating shimmered envelopes. Would love these for myself.

3) Somehow, other product categories- like giftware- always sneak into the National Stationery Show. I don't mind because it adds some variety. Check out these fun melamine trays and dinner plates (based on diner photos) by gift manufacturer Bob's Your Uncle.

I really like Bob's Your Uncle's A-Z Placemat Coloring pads, too. Smart to bring to a restaurant to keep the little ones happy and quiet.

4) Remember R. Nichols, a stationery designer I first discovered years ago at Kate's Paperie here in NYC? I got to meet "Nick" in person at his booth at the show, which was quite exciting for me. Here are some of his signature totes and notecards.

And some R. Nichols magnets...which I think would look great in a playroom.

5) More personalized lovelies, this time from Paparte.

6) And from Elum, another returning favorite to the show (though not everyone in their booth was welcoming about my taking photos for this blog...why not?) First, letterpress "baby progress" cards that new parents can fill in. Lovely baby shower gift:

And gift wrap and gift bags:

OK, that is just a taste of what's to come. Lots more to report back to you. Hope you are enjoying it. Those of you who are not stationery-philes, don't worry, I'll be doing regular posts, too!
