Ikea: Part One

I took my first trip to the Ikea in Red Hook, Brooklyn recently and had such a fun time (including the water taxi ride on a glorious day). Mostly I went to buy inexpensive, primary color frames to hang my children's artwork up on the wall of their "playroom" (i.e. a small area off of our living room). I was very successful with that and will show you my finished product in another post.

But, I also enjoyed browsing many other items ranging from furniture to accessories to gifts. Here are some products that caught my eye (sorry, they all need to be purchased in-store):

Fabler Children's Lidded Storage Boxes ($3.99 for 2-pack). These would be adorable for storing extra keepsakes or photos.

Kritter Orange and Red Children's Bench ($39.99) The perfect playroom seating.

Ekorre Toddle Wagon ($24.99). I saw several toddlers pushing these around the store.

Barnslig Rund Rug ($12.99). It didn't look particularly plush in person, but for a quick dash of color on a playroom floor, it works.

More to come from Ikea!
