My mom cooked, baked and fried with an orange Le Creuset set for years. Like yeaaaars. I must've graduated high school before they any got a chips on them. I've always wanted similar enamel cookware, but felt paralyzed in the decision making process. The Chantal available on Rue La La looked like a pretty good deal. After 30 min of zooming around on the Internet for info (what size should I get, lead free?), I decided to bite on the red 4qt and 6qt. I usually bake in glass Pyrex (quite possibly redundant), but love the idea that the dutch ovens will hold heat better. Plus, whenever I come across those fan-cee recipes, I'll be equipped to try them out. Even if I never try the fancier recipes, I can still feel good in the kitchen. Pregnancy has magically zipped up my timing in the kitchen. From out of nowhere, I know when to start things so that the meal components come together at the same time. I wasn't awful before, not even the time I started bacon and then jumped in the shower (thanks Calphalon for even cooking!). There's something different now and I hope it stays with me.

They also have this pretty apple green in 4qt, 6qt and 8qt. I threw in some white ceramic soup bowls, which come in additional color options. They have some casserole & bakeware options, too.

I've starting kicking mine by staying in bed this morning. It feels like a Sunday.
