Even though my kids are 3 years apart, they enjoy (i.e. fight over) several of the same toys. One is their new Play Town Family House by Learning Curve, which is designed for ages 1 and up. It is a colorful, compact house featuring 2 sides of play, a "growing garden," an attic storage area, and fun features like a doorbell and a free accompanying sound board book. The set is made of both plastic and wood, and includes a Mom, Dad and Baby, all chunky-sized and easy for small hands to grasp. This would make a fun gift for a first birthday, or (based on my preschooler's positive reaction) beyond. $34.99 at Learning Curve.
