Mall Notes - H&M, Georgiou, Talbots

This one is for those of you that will be visiting the mall or plaza over the weekend. I'm sorry to taunt & tease...like you Canadians do w/your Joe Fresh finds that you (sometimes sheepishly) share. I realize that not all of these stores are local to everyone, esp if you're not in the US. Like H&M. It's a retail crime that there aren't more. Can I just tell you there's like one on every corner in Stockholm. Anyway...here's the report:

H&M

Floral top ($12.95) - Size 4 -We love H&M because the prices for trend are crazy good. The merchandising is friendlier than F21 (still love you, too), which makes shopping easy. I thought this top might look good with the Lolli pants. However, the top is pretty thin and more spring/summer, whereas the Lollis are fall/winter. But hey...with bipolar weather, maybe a couple of our outfits can be, too.

Jeans (8): Old Navy low-rise cargo jeans -- looooove these!

Um, so I could almost button this. I usually take a 6 in H&M. This is definitely meant to be oversized, so I suggest sizing down one at least.

25 weeks, 39" belly

Animal print top ($12.95) - This shirt was merchandised with the one above. Same cut. Same price point. Same fabric. Speaking of, the fabric is not very soft, but it's not unbearable. This coming from someone w/textural issues. There was another color, like a solid one. I know...deep thoughts...but the only ones I kept focusing on were the floral & animal. Hawt.



Clutches ($14.95) - These clutches are cute. I saw them in the-pick-ME-up bin near the register. That's a pale pink envelope clutch. And the faux lizard is black. They're ok subs for higher priced clutches. Walk fast, they'll blur. At night, they'll definitely look good.

Georgiou

Georgiou pearl cluster necklace ($36) - I assumed this little store was national, but it's not. You can order from the website ($7.50 shipping), but if you do that this weekend you'll miss out on their 25% off the store Memorial Day promo. I've seen this store for yeeeeaaaars, only been in twice and never purchased from them. I'd say it's where women who like Bebe might shop after they've added some years on. More modesty at Georgiou. Again, I haven't shopped here, but I called to find out if they ship from the store. They do. So if you're aching to get your hands on a pearl cluster necklace and don't live near a Georgiou, call to have it shipped. The 25% off would offset the shipping ($8, store charge). Talbots

Select items at Talbots are 30% off. I have a lot of love for Talbots' thongs. I have a few pair that heading towards 3 years in my closet. Hopefully the studded patent flip-flops are of similar quality. I went into the store today to return the picnic plaid jacket. The colors weren't as vibrant as I'd hoped. The sale items are an additional 25%, so I got the pretty orange coral jacket I tried on in this post. I couldn't immediately think of 3 looks when I tried it on. so I had to at least bring it home this time to see if it plays well with others in my closet.

I'm heating up some Tony Roma's ribs that I found at Costco today. G Money couldn't wait until Memorial day. I try to eat mostly clean -- heavy on mostly -- but it's getting more challenging. I eat beef, but usually avoid it unless I get corn fed and/or organic. TR & potato salad it is! And I admit I bought some frozen cheeseburgers. Aaaaagggh!!! I'm weak when I get to Costco and at least one questionable item usually ends up in the cart. I figured the portions would be small and they are. They'll be good when I get the sporadic beef cravings that have shown up lately.
