J Crew - gingham vintage schoolboy shirt

J Crew's gingham vintage schoolboy shirt (36372, now $39.99) - Size 6 - Melon. It also comes in light mist, which is a pale blue. I'm going off what's available today on the website, so I don't know if there were other color options. I'd say it's roomy in the body since I was almost able to get the whole thing buttoned. The black thing I have on underneath is the Bandini by Barely There. Loveth! It's a convertible bra. You can wear it strapless, one-shoulder, or with both straps up. I find that it sits a bit high on the chest, which works well for some low dipping tops. The straps are narrow on the chest, coming closer to the collarbone than a regular bra. You can tell on the model. The u-shape is closer towards her face. The straps tend to show on some tops, so I end up wearing it strapless quite a bit. I haven't tried it with a one-shoulder top, but I think when only one strap is up, you can position it more towards the shoulder and further away from the collarbone. They're sold in packs of two. I have black/beige. I bought the M, pre-preg, being a 34C at that time I haven't measured myself in awhile, but they were feeling tight at the band, so I got a L to wear now. It's a thin, soft cup, so it won't be a pleasing choice for all, but I say give it a try. It might be a good underneath option for some summer tops & dresses. It's so comfortable.


Oh man, I just realized I didn't post the photo that shows the black Bandini. Oh well. I've been meaning to mention it for a long time. More info. I purchased mine on sale at Macy's and was able to use a cardholder coupon. You can also find it at Kohl's, so work their coupons. I noticed they have a foam-padded version. It's still wire free, but may have more oomph & support w/the pads if you want/need it. I haven't seen that version myself.
