My Dog Brio

I was so happy to see this retro toy I owned as a child- Brio's Small Dachsund Pull-Along Toy- for sale at the Wexner Center Store (the gift shop of a terrific art center in Ohio). Turns out this beloved classic has been around since 1953 (so it was retro even when *I* was a little kid.) He is a tiny little pet (3 x 5.5 inches) and when you pull him, he moves his head and wags his tail and ears. I always called mine "Brio" and he still lives at my parents' house in the 'burbs. R. loves to play with him there. This little puppy costs just $7.00. They have also made a large size version of the Brio dog.
