Clippy Kits

Aren't these ClippyKit bags adorable? R. and I had so much fun putting ours together. Created by British designer Calypso Rose (whose nickname is "Clippy"), ClippyKit bags (and an accompanying line of accessories ranging from pencil cases to kids' umbrellas) are all the rage in England. Celebrities Thandie Newton, Helena Bonham Carter and Jamie Oliver are big fans. The bag ($32) pictured here is sort of like a portable scrapbook (and sooo much easier than "real" scrapbooking, which frightens.) You can put whatever you want in the pockets- photographs, fabrics, cards, or trinkets. If you're stuck for ideas, try the these sweet ready-made "Kit Bits"($4). ClippyKit products make a great kids' activity, party favor, or big sibling gift. Or a treat for a sentimental mom-who-saves-everything (like me).
