After the successful exchange, the best thing to do would be to leave the mall immediately, but I decided to fall into the Gap to check out their additional 40% off clearance section. I found the cutest onesie in the baby dept, which had an addtl 30% off. I saw this pretty green dress with the smocking at the belly. I figured it would be good for maternity and it is. I got the small. Since the S fit well for me at 30 wks, I'd say you probably want to size down one. It would look great w/a brown belt, so if you see this dress give it a 2nd look whether you're expecting or not. The color is just beautiful. I hope I'm not exaggerating. *lol* I am pretty thrilled to find things that I think are going to work over the next 2 months. Even maternity tops seem to creep higher in the front. I'll post irl pics when I wear it. Speaking of maternity, I've reviewed some Gap tops in this post.
Upon exited the fitting room, I saw the following dress on a woman in the fitting room. It looked cute on her, but she didn't buy it. I don't think her significant other was hip to the look. There's a chance you could look like you're on your way to a toga party or just wrapped in a sheet, period. I found it a match for my skin tone, so fabric color is going to be a factor. The size S fit me (41" belly), but it probably won't very soon. It's a cute dress. I can't gauge exactly how it would fit non-maternity, but it seems that the chest area is very, very blousony. It's adjustable with a drawstring under the bust. I tried it at home with my J Crew bubble necklace and another look w/a different necklace & cardi. Machine washable. Very cute. Oh, I said that.
I went into Forever 21 looking for a necklace I'd seen three days prior. That's right, I didn't heed my F21 guide and of course that little $6.80 number is long gone in the span of 3 days. While in the store, I spied this sweater and tried it on. I wouldn't peg it for F21 if it walked past me on the street. It's definitely much more exciting than JC's linen pullover. I most often wear M in F21, but this mostly fit in size S. It was just a touch short. It's from Love 21, their line that runs half a size to a full size larger than regular F21. I'd say size down one on this.
While at the mall, I successfully stayed away from McDonald's. The frozen strawberry lemonade has been calling my name. It's tart to me and I like tart. It's also sweet, so I think about the sugar content. The upside to favoring salty/savory snacks is that I can exercise self control when it comes to sweet ones. Here's a pro review of the frozen drink on The Impulsive Buy. A con review, depending on how you look at 16 tsp sugar *lol*, on Snack Girl. I've had two so far this summer and get the smallest size available. I'm sure I'll get it again in the future.
I meant to step inside of Bath & Bodyworks for their yellow sale. It started on 6/22 or so and today will probably be the last day. It's always fun to get a few lotions for the home or as gifts when they're on super sale. They're discontinuing many of the fragrances, many down to 75% off.
No mall for me on the 4th. It's been a nice weekend so far and it'll be nice to wrap it up watching fireworks. Hope your weekend has been splendid. :)
