Tortoise

When I saw J Crew's resin necklace (52377, $29.50), I was sure it would be a slam dunk. I decided to look for it in-store to try, instead of ordering it online. I sure am glad I did. If found the necklace to feel cheap. Like playing with a little girls necklace. Another disappointment was that most of the links on the ones I saw were all dark brown. There wasn't a mix of lighter shades, as it looks online.


Here are some alternatives. The faux tortoise look can get pricey.

Ema felt the same way I did about J Crew's link resin necklace. After seeing the pretty tortoise necklace she found in her collection, I decided to look on Ebay. I looked at all lengths and didn't find a long one. I really found and liked this one. It was about $20 with shipping. It's plastic, but doesn't have that cheap, toy sound that J Crew's has.
