Military Wool Jacket with Fur Collar (251756) - Size 4 - This looks so luxurious in-person and online. The fur turned out to be too voluminous for me. I think long hair could balance out the fur. Also, if you're taller, there will be a longer line for the eye to follow, so it should look good. Fur is removable, which is awesome. I love the color.
Raglan Sleeve Sweater with Tie (247178) - Size S - This was pretty & soft. Floppy bow, though. Only XXS left online.
Cardigan With Jewel Front Embellishments - This color is boring the way they have it styled. I saw the cardi in-person in an antelope brown color and the embellishments were so pretty. I'm sure you can DIY, but will you ever really get around to it? Downside could be care...handwash and the like. I'm telling you, I need to invest in another Dryel kit.
Colorblock top - This is really cute. Despite the dreaded bubble hem, I went into Loft last nite looking for it. I didn't see it.
Colorblock pullover - I thought this was cute and casual. Then I saw the back of it and really liked it. It's solid & has an exposed zipper. I'm totally wondering how soon exposed zippers will look dated.
Missy Ruffled Cardigan - We've seen this before from you know j'who. One thing I like about this is that the tiers are mixed media. They're different textures. Probably poly mixed with cottons & acrylics. The mix gives some additional visual interest. It also comes in a pretty plum color.
Allover sequin tee - I like that they didn't put sequins everywhere, so the material at the neck, sleeve and hem are exposed. I tried S, which was a good it. This is one of those tops you can't wear in the daytime. Tight sequins and lots of them. Very bright & shiny.
Drape Panel Sequin Tank - I tried S and it fit well. Sorry, I left my camera at home. The sequins are the type you want to take a pair of tweezers to and try to get them all facing the same way. Most of them are not too unruly, but there are some that are going to squirm or flip no matter what. I liked the design and almost got it. There's also the Clear Sequin Tank, which is a pink base & very pretty. It has one non-sequined stripe across the front, but not the overt colorblocking of this one.
Dresses
* Cable Sweater Dress - Both colors are beautiful. I like the construction of this. Could make the waist look tiny. * Cowl Neck Sweater Dress - I'll bet this is soft & cozy.
* Lace Scallop Dress - This has a looser shift cut. I like the pattern.
* Shoulder Detail Sheath Dress - It comes in black or Christmas red. Loft cuts a good sheath. I usually don't like cross front on me, but I'd still guess this is a winner for many.
Outerwear
* Donegal Tweed Cape - Many capes I've seen have a half mock neck or are collarless. This one has a collar, which is nice. The pattern & colors look nice, too. You could get a piper, hat and faux mustache to wear this as a Sherlock Holmes costume. Oh yes, the things we think of to justify a purchase. * Jeweled Pocket Military Coat - I really like this coat. I didn't have my camera, but I should have tried it on anyway. I like the embellishment on it. I suppose you could try to remove them next year or whenever you tired of them. I also like the extra piece of material that the 2nd row of buttons sits on. Super cute! Too bad I am completely set on outerwear and none I want to let go of. Use COATS online for a price of $75. You can only use one code, so you can't stack FRIENDSAF (30%) on top of that. $75 is more than 30% off, fyi.
Skirts
* Gold Foil Printed Skirt - The colorblocking theme continues, but this is very subtle. Looks very pretty, too. I actually like the wider hem on this. * Ivory Flower Jacquard Skirt - Loft had a similar skirt this spring. I have that one and love it.
* Metallic Croc Pencil Skirt - I am pretty sure you know j'who had something similar in 08. Anyway, this looks chic. Loft's pencil skirts are usually a nice cut & fit well.
* Metallic Jacquard Floral Skirt - The pattern looks really pretty.
* Scallop Edge Lace Skirt - This is the same as the dress linked above.
Tops
* Sequin slub tee - The slub material makes for an interesting texture on the short sleeves and at the hem. The sequins are a bit sparse. When they're too sparse, it looks less like a purposeful design and more like sequins have fallen off the garment.* Sheer bodice tee - I really like Loft's tranquil blue. It's bright, but still in line with the fall/winter season. Although those short sleeves are not. I have seen some bizarre things out there in retail land. It's like they're trying to be ready for any mood Mother Nature is in.
* Tailored Velveteen Tux Blazer - It comes in black, of course. It also comes in a dark plum. I'm not a fan of the one button blazer, but I like the long lapels. It could be a surprise good fit.
* Winter garden print shell - I like the colors. Very vibrant and pretty. The color palette is yellow clover. Unfortunately the top has Loft's signature elastic, bubble hem. Boo. This print also comes in a different color palette called gypsy rose. Also very pretty.
* Velvet shell - I love the looks of this and the sheerness at the top.
No pants highlighted, I know. I probably buy 1 pair of pants for every 10 tops & cardis, if that. Once I find a pair of pants or jeans, I usually buy up the colors and I'm good for awhile. It's hard to find a fit I like in the low waist & thighs. Many of you can relate, I'm sure. I recently bought a pair of plaid ankle length trousers on super sale from Loft. They're lined, too. I don't gravitate toward pants at Loft, but will keep trying them in the event I find a gem that works.
Chime in...
