J Crew - Jane dress

J Crew's Jane dress (regular 42454, petite 44998) was available in faded black or deep olive. It's marked down to $69.99 online and I saw it for $39.99 in-store. It's been popping back in the updates, fyi.

Chest measurement not on chart, according to rep.

Size P4 - waist = 34.5", hips = 40.5", total length = 38"
Size P6 - waist = 35.5", hips = 41.5", total length = 38.25"


This is the interior of the dress. Notice that it's stitched from the lower hip or thigh down. It's not an open wrap dress. I think you have to step into it.


These buttons drive me nuts. I'm no good at them. It's the type where you push them in and once they're secure, they're hidden. I don't know the sewing term if there is one.


Size 4 - I think I tucked into the top of the dress as though I were putting on a jacket. It was hard to get a good read on sizing, but it could possible run one size large. It's supposed to fit slouchy.


Side view. I didn't like this color for me, personally. No warmth. I did like the material and it looks like a comfy shirtdress.


Anthro's Ida shirt dress (#21326137, now $89.95) is very similar.


A new code of SHIP175 is up for free shipping on $175 or more thru Tue, 8/2. LOVEIT for 40% off + free shipping was supposed to be good thru today, Tue 7/26. I did a mock checkout and it was still working at midnite, PST even though I no longer see it on the site.
