J Crew - Drea dress

J Crew's drea dress (29647) runs XS - XL. The color pattern is called carbon charcoal shimmer. 75% merino wool, 10% poly, 8% nylon, 7% alpaca. Apparently we should never have expected to wear this as the description includes, 'Just add leggings and voilà!—instant elegance.'

The drop waist is not the most fun thing to work with.

Voilà!—instant elegance - I don't think so. It was definitely very comfortable and felt good on. I like the subtle color blocking. It doesn't scream 80s color blocking. On the downside, the low cut & drop waist are deterrents for me, personally. It's also very thin. It came out in Sept and definitely more of a fall piece.
