Community brain trust - fitness instruction (follow up)

We've only had ones Community Brain Trust post so far. I thought I'd check in with Dani BP to see what's happened since I posted her query. Here's what I found out:

I emailed...
Hi Dani BP,

Checking in on you. What's up with your efforts to get started with fitness coaching.

Dani BP replied...
Thanks for checking in on me. Funny I was going to let you know about this as I was so grateful to be a brain trust recipient.

The next two sessions to complete my level one training (which I have to travel to do)... Looks like I'm in for the Fall, and after a weekend of training I'll qualify to teach a one hour class, with optional additional training later.

I could do the training via distance but I really want to meet my Stretch Guru and of course I feel that I will "get it" a bit better if I am actually with the Master. Of course being an introvert it would be easier to do it via distance but I'd like to push myself a little there.

Do you have any future brain trust candidates lined up?

I don't, Dani BP. I'm hoping someone else will email me soon w/a query.

If anyone is wondering what the heck is Community Brain Trust, the idea is in this post. I'm sure some of you are wondering what's the difference between brain trust and let's talk. It's a great question and one I asked myself.

Let's Talk posts, like overshopping and dressing your age are thoughts that come to my mind. Things that I see on other boards and want to share expanded thoughts on. I figure it's better to use my space than hog someone else's. That's not a promise that I'll be brief at all times on your blogs ;-). I get wordy very quickly. I also want to discuss things here that I might not want to discuss in my real life. Or maybe I can't get together w/a friend or friends to ask what their thoughts are. This is a good space for dialogue. You can email me about anything you want to discuss. One email I received was from a woman who wanted to discuss her shopping habits and some of the conflict it was causing in her marriage. So many great thoughts were shared.

In contrast, Community Brain Trust is more personal. It's about you wanting to make a quantum leap in your career or personal life in some way. Let me think of some examples. Oh, I was talking w/a friend today who told me she was going to create a 2nd website. This 2nd website delay has been a huge obstacle to getting another component of her business out there in the way she wants. I suggested that she use the website she has and split it in two. We were on the phone, but I was able to communicated how it would look & function. It's amazing the suggestions we'll make to others when it's not our own STUFF. She liked the idea and went on to discuss aloud why she loves her current host so much and why she still thinks she wants the separate websites. I guess she's still leaning towards her original choice, but she got an idea from outside of herself and was able to articulate what she wants. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of why we're doing something. If she had posted here, I'm sure there would have been more ideas shared, hosting sites recommended that would satisfy her email blasting needs and someone might have even offered to look at her current site as a favor, cuz y'all are crazy like that. Anyway -- hopefully I've made the two types of features clear and if it's not, no worries. If you want to Talk or utilize the Community, just email me and I'll figure out which one I think it goes into. gigiofca at gmail. Newsflash. You may be superwoman, but you're not an island. You have to work w/others at various points to get where you want to go. Oh, I have sooo much more to share on that idea and you'll just have to wait until I'm on the other side of it for the full report.

Way to go Dani BP. Super looking forward to fall and hearing about your next steps!
