Macy's - 25% Shop For A Cause

Macy's has a very good coupon running today only. Purchase a $5 Shop For A Cause coupon and receive 25% off your purchase. Some exclusions apply. However, it seems they are fewer than the usual exclusions that are on many of their coupons. If you purchase the coupon in-store, you're supposed to be able to use it online as well. There seems to be some technical issues with this, according to the online comments. The best thing to do is buy it in-store & use it in-store. Or if you're at home, add it to your shopping cart and the discount will automatically be applied. The $5 goes towards March of Dimes. Always a worthy cause.

Now, let's look at the Michael Kors sherpa aviator - But first...last year I bought a faux shearling, faux leather aviator like this from H&M. It looked good. For $29, I brought it home even though I questioned the fauxness of it all, but it got G Money approved. I still ended up not wearing it. Maybe I felt cheap in it. I dunno. So I returned it. This year I saw Talbots' shearling moto, but the $1200 price tag...yeesh. This number from MK is on sale for $309, but the Rewards $20 and 20% coupons don't work on Michael Kors. Today I tried a mock checkout and the $5 Shop For A Cause coupon worked for 25% off. This is a good coupon indeed so I went ahead and ordered. Either I will love it and decide if I can justify the purchase or finally be over this little obsession and return it.

If you're interested in Coach
or other brands that are usually excluded from the regular Macy's coupons, you might try a mock checkout to see if the Shop For A Cause coupon will work on them or not. I would expect that if the coupon works on online, it will work on those brands in-store. I hope I'm correctly sharing my understanding of this promo. Kind of in a rush right now, but really wanted to share.

Thanks for stopping by...
